2. Information We Collect

Information You Provide Directly

• Account information: Email address, name, and password when you register;
• Uploaded content: Audio files (MP3, WAV), artwork images, and lyrics you submit to the Service;
• Upload certifications: Your representations that you own or have the right to use uploaded content, including certification timestamps and statements;
• Payment information: Billing details processed via Stripe (we do not store raw card data — see Section 7);
• Communications: Any messages you send us via email or support channels.

Information Collected Automatically

• IP addresses: Collected and stored on each upload and account action for compliance and security purposes;
• Session data: Login timestamps, session tokens, and authentication logs stored for security and abuse prevention;
• Usage data: Pages visited, features used, export formats selected, and interaction logs;
• Device and browser data: Browser type, operating system, and device identifiers collected for compatibility and analytics;

Compliance-Specific Data

For copyright compliance purposes, SongArc stores the following data associated with each upload:

• Upload certification records (timestamp, IP address, user ID, content identifier);
• DMCA takedown and counter-notification records;
• Account action history related to copyright enforcement.

This data may be retained longer than other data categories to meet our legal obligations.

4. How We Store and Protect Your Data

Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure (Neon PostgreSQL, Cloudflare R2) with access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel only. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest where applicable.

We retain account and transaction data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Upload compliance records (certifications, IP logs) may be retained for up to 7 years to meet legal requirements.

Uploaded audio files and artwork are stored only as long as necessary to complete your requested processing. You may delete your content from the platform at any time.

5. Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in the following circumstances:

• Service providers: Third-party vendors who help us operate the Service, including cloud hosting, payment processing (Stripe), and analytics providers. These providers are contractually bound to use your data only for the purposes we specify;
• Legal requirements: We may disclose data when required by law, court order, or government authority, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, investigate fraud, or ensure user safety;
• Copyright enforcement: In response to valid DMCA takedown notices or counter-notifications, we may share limited information as required by law;
• Business transfers: If SongArc is acquired or merged, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the same privacy protections.

6. Cookies and Tracking

SongArc uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember preferences, analyze how the Service is used, and detect and prevent fraud.

Analytics and Fingerprinting

SongArc uses a visitor analytics service to track pageviews and usage patterns. A visitor identifier may be stored in your browser's local storage to count unique visitors. This identifier is pseudonymous and not directly linked to your account. We use this data only for aggregate analytics — not for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Third-Party Cookies

7. Payments (Stripe)

All payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. SongArc does not store or have access to your full credit card numbers. Stripe processes and stores payment credentials in compliance with PCI DSS standards. Your email address and billing details may be shared with Stripe to complete your transaction. 8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
• Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate data;
• Deletion: Request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements;
• Restriction: Request that we restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances;

SongArc operates from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the US, your data may be transferred to and processed in the US. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.
